PRINZ industrial saw chains: 80 years of innovation in every link!
Looking for precision and performance, that standard solutions simply can’t deliver?
As the only manufacturer on the market offering complete industrial cutting systems — where every single component, from the chain and guide bar to sprockets and pulleys, is made in our factory in Austria. Our know-how is built on over 80 years of experience in optimizing cutting processes for the most demanding industries.
Unlike our competitors, we design and manufacture complete cutting systems: MACHINE + CUTTING UNIT, guaranteeing perfect component compatibility and trouble-free operation:
- Full quality control: We manufacture machines as well as saw chains, guide bars, sprockets, and pulleys.
- Unmatched precision: Our systems enable package cross-cutting with accuracy of +/- 1mm.
- Material versatility: From wood and paper, through plastics, to composites (wind turbine blades) and construction materials (plasterboard, concrete, brick). We cut a wide range of materials — without compromise.
We produce specialized saw chains and guide bars dedicated to our own stations, as well as premium-grade cutting unit components compatible with machines from other brands available on the market, including:
- HOLTEC, STORTI cross-cut stations
- BALJER&ZEMBROD sorting and handling carriages
- HUNDEGGER, SCHMIDLER joinery machines
- DOLMAR, OESTERLE, CMS, WOLF machines
Choose the right chain for your needs:
1. Cross-cutting of lumber packages, squared timber, and boards (scraper chain series)
For cross-cutting lumber packages, squared timber, and boards, we recommend scraper chains. They feature straight cutting links that leave the cut surface smooth and perfectly even, comparable to the finish achieved by circular saws. Used among others by pallet manufacturers, these chains enable package cross-cutting with an accuracy of +/- 1 mm.
